After the failed assassination attempt on President Donald Trump over the weekend, in which one of his supporters was killed, many leaders in the Democratic Party finally spoke out to condemn the violence at his rallies. In 2016, at many of the campaign events that Donald Trump held, there was violence. His supporters were hunted down as they left the rallies and beaten, simply for attending a campaign event. In 2020, when Trump ran for reelection, there were fewer campaign events because of Covid-19. Trump was forced to have a small event at the White House to accept the nomination. Again, his supporters were attacked and beaten in the streets of the capital. Now that a Trump supporter has been killed Democrats are finally speaking out against this violence. If these Democrats had spoken out when this violence started 8 years ago could it have prevented the tragedy at the rally on Saturday? Join the conversation and get answers to this question and more on According2Sam episode #229.
