Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut admitted to meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy before his meeting with President Trump. Murphy was part of a bipartisan group of members of Congress who met with Zelenskyy ahead of his White House visit to coach him on what to say—and what not to say. It's surprising that U.S. lawmakers would need to advise Zelenskyy on his talking points, especially considering he had already verbally agreed to the minerals deal prior to his arrival. That agreement was the primary reason for his visit. However, while Zelenskyy was in route to the White House, Senator Murphy posted a message on X stating that the Ukrainian people would not support a fake peace agreement. Did these members of Congress have any role in what unfolded during the Oval Office meeting? Join the conversation and get answers to this question and more on According2Sam episode #291.
