According2Sam #71

When you go back and listen to Senator Joseph Biden argue for more criminal justice in the 1980's and 90's his rhetoric stands in stark contrast from what we hear from him today as he seeks to become President of the United States for a third time. It is like listening to two completely different people. Back then he put pressure on Republican administrations to increase funding for a national plan for more cops, prosecutors, judges, and prisons. He advocated for stiff sentences for possession of small amounts of drugs and for the punishment of addicts that were hooked on drugs. Today he is doing a different song and dance. He says the criminal justice legislation that he supported, voted for, and even drafted was a mistake. However, he never says it was his mistake. In fact, to this day Biden has taken zero personal responsibility, or offered an apology to hundreds of thousands families that were destroyed by these laws. How could Joe Biden and Kamala Harris's records on criminal justice come back to haunt them in the 2020 election, and what are the early signs that they will struggle with voters of color because of their records? Join the conversation and get answers to these questions and more on According2Sam episode #71.
