According2Sam #53

Mitt Romney was the only Republican in both Houses of Congress to vote with Democrats to impeach the president. In doing so he became the first Senator in American history to vote to remove a president from office in his own Party, and thus made history. He said requesting an investigation from a foreign power into Joe Biden, a political rival, was “an appalling abuse of public trust”. He said what the president did was a flagrant assault on our electoral rights, our national security, and our fundamental values. It was “grievously wrong”, according to Romney, and because he is such a religious man, he was bound by the oath he made to his god to defend the Constitution. He said his inescapable conviction demanded that he vote to convict the president. However, could Romney have had other motives, and what might those motives be? Join the conversation and get answers to these questions and more on According2Sam episode #53.
