One week before the Ukrainegate story first broke in the Washington Post the House Judiciary Committee Chair, Jerry Nadler announced that his committee had began impeachment investigations. He said they were looking into several issues that went beyond the Mueller investigation, and they were determining whether or not to recommend articles of impeachment to the House. Later that day, a week before the Ukrainegate story broke, House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi was asked if she agreed with Nadler and had the impeachment inquiry begun? She confirmed the investigations had been on the way for months! However, she was reluctant to call the investigations “impeachment” investigations. After the Ukrainegate story was made public she gave a national address stating she had agreed to finally call the existing investigations an impeachment inquiry. What influenced the House Speaker to finally start calling the existing investigations an impeachment inquiry, and has anything actually changed other than that she is now calling them “impeachment”? Join the conversation and get answers to these questions and more on According2Sam episode #45.
