Everyone knows the Washington Post and New York times are the newspapers of record. If the Washington Post or the New York Times makes a claim it is reported as a fact by subordinate news outlets whether it is indeed a fact, or not. However, sometimes these two papers do not get it right and instead of fact checking these papers, networks and subordinate news outlets continue to echo the misinformation as a fact. It’s an interesting phenomenon, because for the past three years these two papers have been keeping a running tally of all of the exaggerations, misleading statements, and lies from President Trump, but one must ask, who is fact checking the fact checkers? How trustworthy is the tally of President Trump’s “lies”, and how does his tally compare to other presidents such as his predecessor, Barak Obama? Join the conversation and get answers to these questions and more on According2Sam episode #42.
